The grinding table is a heavy cast construction. In the grinding position the frame is closed and can be opened for changing the conveyor belt. The guide rail system can be tilted up and does not have to be removed for conveyor belt change or change of protection sheet. Easy and fast change over of the conveyor belt due to the pneumatic belt tensioning system and belt replacement occurs in the front of the machine. On top of the casting is a fixed magnetic chuck. The conveyor belt system consists of a belt drive assembly with reduction gearbox on the outlet side and a belt tensioning unit, which is air operated, on the inlet side of the machine.

The main grinding station G is also fixed to the base of the machine and can be inclined in length feed axis for different grinding methods and in cross feed axis for parallel adjustment. In the standard version, the grinding station is equipped with a water cooled spindle motor of 25KW and a fixed spindle speed. The grinding spindle is of heavy and stiff construction with a diameter 160 mm; the bearings are greased for life. The vertical movement of the spindle is made by a heavy satellite spindle and stepper motor, with a displacement of 200mm. The grinding wheels are bolted to the spindle with a wheel flange.

The machine hood consist of 2 parts, the upper part covering mechanical movements and drive systems, and the lower part covering the grinding area. The upper hood is fixed and has 3 access doors for maintenance and set up operations. An easy to move hood (raise and lower) with a counter weight system with security device to control spindle movement for safe access to the grinding area is integrated.

The machine control – The electric cabinet is placed on the back side of the machine on top of the base. The operators control panel is mounted on a swing-arm. This version of the machine has a PLC control system with diagnostics of the status of the machine and fault indication with display indication of vertical spindle position and belt feed rate.

Accessories included with this machine. Spindle motor with 18.5 KW / 24.8 HP. Part shower located in the machine outlet zone for pre-cleaning of work pieces with coolant after grinding. Machine equipped with PLC Allen Bradley SLC 500 with operator panel, Panel View 500 monochrome including Allen Bradley diagnostics. Demagnetizer, waterproof type, built into outlet side of machine, with fixed demagnetizing capacity.

Wet grinding equipment, including coolant distribution to several different areas: the grinding wheel, the optional brush de-burring station (no de-burring station included), belt cleaning both inner and outer side, swarf down wash in machine base. Coolant and swarf return through 2 openings in machine base and channel system behind grinding wheel and around machine base. In process automatic wheel wear compensation in-process system with air nozzle measuring against grinding wheel and automatic wheel wear compensation. An air nozzle with a height adjustment system, electrical drive motor, control unit, and reduction valve are provided. Permanent magnetic chuck 152 X 1600 X 108mm with fixed down-hold, adapted to your application with reduced inlet and outlet zones for smooth transfer of work pieces to and from magnetic chuck. Leveling shoes are included for the ITG, 4 leveling shoes and anti-vibration elements to be placed under the machine. Height of shoes = 55mm. A grinding wheel flange for wheels dia. 350mm, with 10 holes for fixing bolts, including bolts and weights for balancing and a Spindle cooling unit are all included with the machine.
